Charles Shamu

Board Chairman

Mr C. S Shamu is an Engineer by profession with extensive senior executive management experience in an International Engineering Organisation. He holds a BSc Industrial Engineering, BSc Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Charles is a member of the Computer Society of Zimbabwe, the Institute of Directors and a fellow with the Zimbabwe Institute of Management. He is currently the Managing Director at ABB (Pvt) Limited, a Swiss headquartered high technology electronics and engineering firm.

Charles. T Wekwete

Deputy Board Chariman

Retired-Brigadier General C.T Wekwete is a qualified Information Communications Technology (ICT) Engineer with a BEng. (Hons) and an MSc degree from Cranfied University (UK). He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). He is a member of the Computer Society Of Zimbabwe, Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, the British Computer Society and the British Institute of Engineers.

Washington Musungwa

Non - Executive Director

Flight Lieutanant W. Musungwa is currently the Principal Engineering Technical Officer at the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund. He possesses vast experience in the field of engineering spanning across mining, telecommunications and the military with a strong background in training. He has previously worked for Harare Polytechnic, Freda Rebecca Mine, Cell C (South Africa), Dam Technical College (South Africa), the Research Council of Zimbabwe and the Airforce of Zimbabwe. He is a member of the Engineering Council of South Africa and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Zimbabwe Open University (2011) as well as a BSc (Hons) Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe (1999). He is currently working towards completing a Masters in Communications Engineering.

Sibongile E. Sibanda

Non - Executive Director

Ms. S.E Sibanda is the Group Investments Executive for Trinipac Investments (Pvt) Limited. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree with the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). She also holds a B. Com (Honours) degree in Management Finance (Solusi State University) and a B Com (Honours) in Economics (UNISA) among several other qualifications. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Directors, a non-executive director for the Cold Storage Commission (CSC) and a non-executive director for Interc Foods (Pvt) Limited among several other responsibilities.

Simon C. Chigwamba

Non - Executive Director

Mr S.C Chigwamba is the Principal Director in the Ministry of Information Communication Technology, Postal & Courier services. He has a wealth of experience in ICT policy formulation, Systems Development and Implementation as well as Project Management at senior level. Simon Chigwamba was previously a Director at the Central Computing Services. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe and an Honours Diploma in Computer Programming from Algonquin College, Canada. He has attained other professional qualifications and attended several short courses and workshops locally and abroad.

Viola Chasi

Non - Executive Director

Mrs. V. M Chasi is currently the Managing Director at GN Mlotshwa & Company/Tital Law Chambers and is also a Legal and Business Consultant at Palladium Strategy and Consultants Zimbabwe. She was previously employed at CBZ Holdings Zimbabwe as Group Legal Corporate Secretary from 2005 to 2012. Viola is a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries (Grad CIS). She also holds a Bachelor of Laws (BL) and a Bachelor of Laws Honours (LLB) from the University of Zimbabwe. She is a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association and Professional Women in Business (Proweb). She also serves as a Director on the Sable Chemicals (Pvt) Limited Board.

Dr. Sydney Zikuzo Gata

Non - Executive Director

Dr. S. Z. Gata is an engineer by profession and is currently Managing Partner at EMC Continental (Africa) Ltd a firm specializing in power project development advisory services and project sponsorship in the SADC Region. Previously he served as Executive Chairman as well as being Chairman of the Rural Electrification Board. He has led at high profile institutions that include the Rural Electrification Board, Electricity Supply Commission, Central Africa Power Corporation and the World Energy Council Commission Board. Dr. Gata holds a doctorate in Engineering - PhD (Engineering), MSc (Engineering), BSc (Engineering) and Post Graduate diploma in Business Studies. Dr Gata is also a certified Chartered Engineer (Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers), a Professional Engineer (APEO) and is a certified European Engineer (EUPEA).

Chipo Mtasa

Managing Director

Mrs Chipo Mtasa is a business woman who has worked with various organisations in general and financial management positions. She is a Chartered Accountant who has worked with various organisations in senior management positions. Mrs Mtasa has been with the; Rainbow Tourism Group first as Finance Director for the Sheraton Harare Hotel, then Group Finance Director before becoming the Chief Executive. She has held various positions in the Tourism Industry, including being past president of the Zimbabwe Council of Tourism from 2006-2008.

Joseph Machiva

Joseph Machiva is a marketing professional with over 10 years experience in brand management, sales, business development and customer services. He has worked extensively in the telecommunications industry both locally and regionally. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Gloucestershire(UK).

Hopewell Zinyau

Corporate Services Director

Hopewell Zinyau is a people management expert with more than 15 years hands on experience across Human Resources facets. He holds a Bachelor of English and Communication studies as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. He also holds Diplomas in Personnel and Training Management from the Institute of Personnel Management in Zimbabwe. He is a practicing Labour Arbitrator registered with the Ministry of Labour.

Eng Lawrence Nkala

Divisional Director Infrastructure & Wholesale

Engineer Lawrence Nkala is an accomplished ICT expert with over 24 years’ experience in Telecommunications/ICT business. He holds a BSc Honours degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA). Lawrence is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a member of Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (MZweIE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) of United Kingdom. He is a registered engineer with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe Pr(Eng) as well as the Engineering Council of United Kingdom. Nkala has experiences in Telco strategy formulation, network transformation and customer service.

Kudakwashe Musundire

Audit & Risk Executive

Kudakwashe Musundire is TelOne’s Risk & Audit Executive. He is an audit and risk professional with 10 years’ experience in audit, governance, risk and financial management. Prior to joining TelOne, Kudakwashe worked for First Mutual Holdings Limited and PG Industries (Zimbabwe) Limited in senior management positions in internal audit and financial management. Kudakwashe is a Chartered Accountant having trained with BDO Zimbabwe Chartered Accountants. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe, where he sits on the Institute’s Public Sector Taskforce. He is also a member of the Institute of Risk Management of South Africa. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree from the National University of Science & Technology and an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science degree from the University of South Africa.

Caroline Sandura

Company Secretary & Legal Advisor

Caroline Sandura is a Barrister at Law and holds a Joint Honours in Law and Politics (UK). She held several positions since joining the organisation in 1981 including being the current Company Secretary and Legal Advisor, Manager Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Executive Officer International Relations and Legal Affairs, Legal and Public Relations Officer and Legal Officer. Mrs Sandura has been and is currently a member of several Boards.

Jeremiah Tavonga Munembe

Innovations Executive

Engineer Jeremiah Tavonga Munembe is TelOne’s Innovations Executive. As the Innovations Executive, Jeremiah is responsible for corporate strategy formulation and implementation, new business development, setting of business performance parameters, oversight over company performance, developing business partnerships and establishing and re-engineering business processes. Prior to joining to TelOne Jeremiah was Service Delivery manager at Liquid Telecoms Zimbabwe. Jeremiah has extensive experience in strategy formulation and implementation, service delivery and process improvement where he holds a “black belt” qualification in six sigma. He holds a BSc Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Zimbabwe and has worked in manufacturing and financial services industries before joining the telecommunications sector.
